Cinematic Crime

Cinematic Crime is a visual exploration of the elements of storytelling from the great noir-era heist films of the 1950s.

On the surface these movies follow traditional narratives, but slowly plunge into a world of disconcerting events that leads viewers into a world that seems anything but conventional.
Through analytics and data visualization, greater connections can be made about the genre as a whole. Consisting of six parts, the non-linear structure of the material allows the reader to explore these narratives in a new form.
